New Character Application Empty Lorien Ar'nyáre - My New Character

Post  Lorienian Wed Sep 21, 2011 3:54 pm

Please fill this application out and post it in a new topic. You only need to fill this out if you are not roleplaying as an original Lord of the Rings character.

Full Name:

Lorien Ar'nyáre

Hair Colour:

Naturally platinum blonde

Eye colour:

Deep, sky blue

What are you (Human, Elf, Shapeshifter, Dwarf, etc...):

Daughter of Miriel, elf-lady of Doriath, and Meneldil, man of Dor-Lómin of the house of Hador. (First Age) bottom line--half elf, half Man

Are you good, evil or neutral?:

Good - an Elf-friend and supporter of all things upright and true, but occasionally depressed Sad

Height:

6 ft 5 in, 196 cm

Physical Description:

Lorien, being half elf, can choose to either embrace immortal life and live forever as one of the Half-Elven (such as Elrond is) or to live as a mortal until her time comes to leave this world. Since she is yet young (20 years), she has not yet the need to choose, though she must someday. Her actions, characteristics and personality reflect both races, and she shows she is not lenient towards one of the other.
She wears her hair down - it falls to her waist - and is clothed in the green garb of her father's people of Dor-Lómin, though her riding gear and weapons resemble that of the elves. Her father visits Dor-Lómin, and she goes with him often.

Special Talents (lock picking, sword skill, etc...):

She is very musical and plays often upon the harp and the flute. When in Doriath, she studies to become a scribe, and when in Dor-Lómin, she practices her instruments.
Her father taught her the art of swordsmanship from the time she was able to lift a blade, and she is relatively skillful. However, she is much more lethal with a bow, which her mother's brother Glorfindel instructed her well. She can out-shoot every other girl in Doriath, and she often competes with the boys there.

Personality:

Lorien Ar'nyáre can be both serious and focused in the event of a meeting with the king and queen, but she is also very tomboyish around other boys her age. She is a popular archer, but one of her daily tasks is learning to be a scribe. While she is meant to record the happenings of Doriath, study her mind often wanders and her script is filled with tales of dragon-slayers and heroes. Razz She is a true friend, but her weakness is her inability to organize. Stress often brings her down, and she will wander the forests of Doriath to find peace.

Where you live:

Mostly Doriath, but takes occasional visits to Dor-Lómin.

Family:

Glorfindel of Doriath is her mother Miriel's brother (thus her uncle). Jadus of Dor-Lómin is her cousin, though the two are not on friendly terms. She has many older cousins in Doriath, but she does not know them as well as her more distant relations who are her own age. Jadus is her father's only niece.

Other (anything else we should know?):

Btw all these places and some of these names are from the First Age. If you have not read The Silmarillion or Unfinished Tales or the Appendices in the back of The Return of the King, then it might not make much sense to you since I do not know of these being referenced to in the LotR books/movies. Any questions are welcomed! Very Happy
Also, Ar'nyáre means Noble Scribe in Quenya, I think. It may be Sindarin, but it is at least one of the Elvish languages.
